Since the beginnings of agriculture, trends in cultivation have come and gone. Currently, one method is called ‘no-dig’. Although the name might be somewhat misleading, at Upper Ballaird Farm COOP, we are enthusiastic advocates of the diverse approaches and techniques that fall under this umbrella.
In this day-long workshop, we’ll introduce the principles and practices of no-dig gardening. We’ll explore various no-dig methods, the foundational principles behind them, and, most importantly, how you can integrate these techniques into your current gardening routine. This workshop offers a blend of theoretical insights and practical knowledge.
We’ll also invite you to share your current gardening practices, and together, we’ll brainstorm ways to incorporate more no-dig techniques into your approach. This is an opportunity to enhance your gardening skills and embrace a method that promotes healthier soil.
The day includes a tea break, a light lunch, and a tour of the farm, all covered in the course fee.
If you are a CSA member then you will receive a 15% discount for the course. Please email us: upperballaird@farmcoop.scot to book into the course.
