Thank you for being one of our CSA members. We truly appreciate you being a part of the farm; we take care of it, together. We are excited to grow seasonal veg for you. We can’t do this without you!

Sign Ups for our 2025 season coming soon….

We are making some changes. We are now offering our pricing on a sliding scale and ask you to choose a price point based on your income and your access to resources. Our ‘Standard Share’ covers the basic cost of our production. Whereas, our ‘Solidarity Share’ and ‘Solidarity Plus’ shares create an opportunity for a fairer price for those on lower incomes or facing financial hardship allowing them to access fresh produce through our ‘Subsidised Share’. You can see pricing on our Veg Subscription page. We are now using Ooooby which is an online platform for small scale producers, this will allow us to streamline a lot of our processes and free up some of our time, allowing us to focus more on growing!

Changes in 2025:

  • we have signed up on a platform called Ooooby, you will need to sign up to our box there
  • sliding scale pricing, making food more accessible
  • reduced collection points, for now this will only be available at the farm
  • offering home delivery for a small fee, £3.00
  • delivering to Buchlyvie, Balfron, Killearn, Kippen, Gargunnock
  • add ons, we are hoping to offer add ons to your box with staples such as bread, milk and eggs (we will keep you updated)
  • we will change our harvest, packing, collection and delivery day, day to be announced

CSA Collection and Delivery

What you need to know…

  • We harvest and pack your veg box on the day of collection/delivery (some, less delicate, items will be harvested the day before and stored overnight).
  • You are able to collect your veg box from the farm.
  • We are offering delivery to select areas which you can see on ooooby, please email us if you think we are missing your area.
  • If you are unable to collect your box, please let us know and we will arrange for this to go to Start Up Stirling. This must be in advance to ensure food does not go to waste, you can do this easily now by pausing your box on ooooby.

Payments

All CSA members are required to pay a deposit to secure their CSA membership for each season, this will be complete through ooooby. Payments will be taken monthly or you can choose to pay for the whole season upfront.

  • You support your local growers by committing to a whole season of eating our veg.
  • You get fresh produce with low food miles, only our veg grown at Upper Ballaird Farm is in your box.
  • You get a share of the veggies grown and share the risk with your growers – the more we grow for everyone the more you get. If we get snow in August, you get much less.
  • Eating seasonally, the amount and type of veg you get changes over the season.
  • You get access to a range of perks, including special farm events and discounts.
