Here you can see what is in your veg box in calendar week 44.
In this week’s box you will find…
potatoes
swede
dakon radish
bag of damaged potatoes
spring onions
stir-fry bag
salad bag
cabbage
In your veg box this week…
…you will find Golden Wonder potatoes which have a brown rough skin, ideal for chipping. You will have some swede, good time of year to put it in some soup! You will also find some daikon radish, these are long white radish with a mild peppery flavour. There are also springonions in your box this week.
In the stir fry bag there is some achocha, baby onion, chilli, raab leaves and red cabbage leaves. Achocha is a South American fruit in the cucumber family that tastes like a cross between a pepper and a cucumber. Remove the seeds and fry, grill or add to stews! There is also a salad bag and a cabbage. We have included a bag of damaged potatoes, we don’t believe in food waste, something may have nibbled it before you but it is still perfectly good food! These potatoes may just need a little more clean up and we recommend you use them up first and store the other potatoes.
